Finca Collado, Alicante, South East Spain

Finca Collado is an ancient farmhouse located on the hill that separates the valley of Salinas and Villena, on the border of the ancient Kingdom of Valencia and based within DO Alicante. A 19th Century estate surrounded by 100 hectares of vineyards, olive trees, almond trees and forest, the terrain and climate are extremely harsh. High mineral soils with high salinity and calcareous loams make a unique location, in a transitional climate between that of the Mediterranean and a semi-arid climate, with very scarce rainfall.

WHERE SKILL
MEETS FAITH.

Based in a historic wine region known for high volume wine, it is now regaining its prestige for artisan products and Finca Collado are at the forefront and defining their own path.  Despite being a fairly new project they have built an estate focused on a deep respect for nature, recovering old vines, replanting indigenous varieties and restoring traditional winemaking methods.

They are faithful to the territory and its history and not only take advantage of the cultural legacy, but they investigate it, enrich it and think about its future. In doing so they understand that they not only make wines, but also contribute to cultural creation.
